  "OTHER DANCE WORKSHOPS"

"Other Dance Workshops" covers a lot of ground and it's best to check the individual write-ups for more information.

"Hip Hop"
Born on the streets of urban America, and with its roots in African dance, hip hop has become ever more popular due to MTV videos in this style. It's a high energy dance and can be performed or freestyled to anything with a definite, heavy beat (especially Rap and R'nB). Don't be fooled into thinking that you have to be a teenager to dance it. The majority of our clients rave about it, and it's been a while since some of them were teenagers!

"Circle Dance"
There have been circle dances in just about every culture that ever existed. In this workshop you'll learn a few traditional ones, a few ethnic ones, and a few modern ones. What are you waiting for?

"Line Dancing"
Imported from the United States, and a huge hit in 1990's Britain, there are still countless line dance groups up and down the country. You can dance it to Country and Western music, or to just about any other kind of music you like. It's adaptable, social and great fun. And you even get to shout 'yee haw!'.

"Bellydancing"
Particularly for charity, and 'just for laughs' events, this workshop can be run for men or mixed classes.

"International Dance"
This workshop is a celebration of the world's diversity! During our three-hour journey around it, we'll be visiting seven different countries and trying out a traditional dance from each one. Starting in Israel, and travelling via Togo, Romania, Pakistan, Greece, and Russia, we'll be ending the trip back in England for some light-footed Elizabethan revelry. It's a fantastic way of enjoying a variety of music and cultures, while dancing off some of the calories accrued at weekends.

"French Cancan (Dance Workshop)"
Ooh, la la! This workshop is a whole load of fun wrapped up in a frilly skirt! It's three hours of high kicks, skirt swishes, and laughter-induced tummy aches suitable for all dance levels - just modify the moves to suit yourself. It's the right kind of Cancan for those who Can'tcan't (yet) but would like to. Don't worry about make-up - just come along and add a touch of Moulin Rouge!
IMPORTANT: Bring lots of water to drink, and a swishy skirt (to be worn as it is, or over your trousers). Frilly knickers optional.
